Sunnyside Community Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic support organization of the hospital. The hospital prepares for the future of the communities of the Lower Valley, with the support of Lower Valley residents, businesses and associations who support the Foundation. The board has looked at opportunities to increase community support for the hospital through fundraising.

The "Building for the Future" campaign was the cornerstone of efforts to rebuild and revitalize the hospital physical plant. The next step of that building process is the planned updating of the Emergency Department. The Department is a Washington State designated Level-4 Trauma Center. However, it has been nearly two decades since significant improvements were made in the physical structure of the department. Now, the next step of the Building for the Future campaign will be to make needed changes, upgrades, and improvements to the area that serves patients in great illness or injury in emergency situations.

If you are already a part of "Building for the Future" we thank you. You have been critical to the success we have achieved thus far. If you are not there are many opportunities for you to join our team and see this campaign to its finality.

The Foundation is also actively seeking planned gifts, memorials, and other contributions to the future of Lower Valley health care needs.

The area needs more nurses, physicians and health care personnel. The Foundation can be your vehicle to make sure the quality of life we enjoy today in Sunnyside and Grandview will still be available for our children and grand children.
