Festival
of Trees Celebrated! Throughout my hospital career I have always counted on the selfless volunteer work of the hospital auxiliary. That is certainly the case on December 6th as we celebrate the annual Festival of Trees. While I will be unable to attend because of travel and meeting plans I want to thank all those responsible for this annual Christmas kickoff.
I hope you are planning to attend. Our auxiliary and volunteer corp. at the hospital are two fine groups of individuals who lend so much to the support of the hospital. Those of you who work with the auxiliary or the volunteers certainly know what I am talking about. As these people contribute their time and talents because of a tremendous dedication to the community and the peoples we come together to serve.
We also offer congratulations to Carol Allen for receiving her certification as an Administrator of Volunteer Services. This recognition notes her hard work over the past few years as well.
My goal through this twice monthly column is to find one more vehicle for keeping everyone informed on what is going on in healthcare and inside the hospital community. With the AOA visit now complete, I want to add my thanks for the efforts of so many who worked to prepare for that event.
I also hope you will take note of Employee Activity Committee Christmas events described elsewhere in this newsletter and take advantage of all that you can.
Happy Holidays.
